For over 15 years, Dr. Ly T. Nguyen has been a driving force in both healthcare and business innovation. As the first and only cataract surgeon in St. Cloud, Florida, and the founder and CEO of Eye Florida, she has transformed her private practice into a scalable, multi-service eye care enterprise — blending clinical excellence with strategic business leadership.

Inspired by her father’s vision loss, Dr. Nguyen pursued her undergraduate degree at Brown University, graduating with honors in Biology and Biomedical Ethics. She earned her MD from the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine, followed by an award-winning residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Eye Florida offers a full range of services including advanced cataract surgery, oculoplastics, glaucoma procedures, and aesthetic treatments such as Botox, fillers, and IV hydration therapy. Under Dr. Nguyen’s leadership, the practice has expanded into telehealth services, mobile ophthalmology, and adjacent verticals such as medspa care and nutraceuticals.

As a serial entrepreneur and real estate developer, Dr. Nguyen has overseen ground-up development and strategic expansion of medical office buildings and commercial properties across Central Florida. She has successfully led and scaled multi-million dollar business ventures — including her own private healthcare practice, medical office building developments, and telemedicine platforms — from concept to execution. Through these roles, she has gained firsthand experience and insight serving as CEO, Chief Medical Officer, COO, and CFO, demonstrating the strategic, operational, and financial acumen required to drive growth in the healthcare and real estate development sectors.

Dr. Nguyen is also a published researcher, award-winning physician, mentor, and community leader — recognized with honors such as Top Doctor, Best of Florida, and Orlando Style Magazine’s Elite Doctors and Women of the Year. She has published research in peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Ophthalmology and the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
